Engineer.
Allen is Trade qualified in fitting, turning and machining. Prior to starting at Pioneer Aero in 2012 Allen worked on ex NZR steam locomotives, as a mechanical engineer for Tranz Rail and in the general engineering and sheet metal sector.
Allen has a large variety of interests being involved in karting for many years before moving onto speedway building and running his own cars. He also has crewed on the steam tug “W.C.Daldy”, restored a full size traction engine, been involved with minature live steam engines, built his own CNC router and is a keen modeler both R/C and plastic kits.
